Long before the County of Vermilion River put up the marker signs, what is today called TWP RD 520 was commonly known as Bird Hill Road. Named after school that was operational from 1926 to 1948.

Growing up and back residing along Bird Hill Road, there’s lots of memories for Shawn down that stretch of gravel. Watching the crops grow, visiting with friends along the trail, and even asking Bethany to marry him on the frozen slough running against the road.
